HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY! aaaan HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY NEPHEW, HENRY! I personally think this holiday is WAY underrated. His birthday and Veteran's day! Okay, well at LEAST Veteran's Day. I mean we don't even get out of school! What is that?! This day is specifically to remember those in the military services and have lost their lives for us, but we hardly do anything to celebrate that. Now, I'm not saying that cancelling school would help, but I am saying that we need to time to be thankful. Here are a few things I am thankful for today...
Military men and women that do the things I could never do to protect me and my world.
Family, specifically Ellie, Addy, Henry, and baby on the way! :)
Computers.
EDUCATION.
Kids!
Safety in my home, my town, my life.
The fact that I have a job (pay day today).
Mrs. Wright (my amazing cooperating teacher that has taught me SO much in just 6 days!
Especially thankful for field experience time.
HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!

i miss George!
"I know you've been going through a bad time. I know you miss Shepherd and that your life has been pretty unpleasant these days. You get points for breathing in and out. You get to be a little selfish. But you don't get to choose a dog over me. You don't. My name is George. I sleep down the hall from you. I buy you tampons. I hold your hand. Every time you ask. I've earned the right to be seen. To be respected. So, I'm not moving out. Whether you like it or not, I'm staying."
"Okay so sometimes, even the best of us make rash decisions - bad decisions. Decisions we pretty much know we're gonna regret the moment, the minute - especially the morning after. I mean, maybe not "regret" regret because at least, you know, we put ourselves out there but still, something inside us decides to do a crazy thing. A thing we know'll probably turn around and bite us in the ass yet we do it anyway. What I'm saying is; we reap what we sow. What comes around goes around. It's karma and, any way you slice it, karma sucks."
"I'm starting to get a little freaked out, but I'm not gonna break. It's not because I don't care, because I do care what you think about me, I do. Care. I just can't tell you want you want to hear. Which seems to be a theme in my life right now. Just because you can't say something doesn't mean you don't want to, you can want to very much. You can be with a person and be happy with them and not love them. And you can love somebody and not want to be with them. You don't need to love someone to want them. Now that's frustrating, when what your brain tells you you want and what you actually want don't match up. It's exhausting. And, well, it's complicated. But that's life. And life... sucks."
"All my friends think I'm a brown nosing perv."

whas happening hotstuff?!
things happen for a reason. and more importantly people come in and out of your life at specific times for a specific purpose. Chels asked me the other day (while driving from getting her TB test results, don't worry it was negative) if I think that bad things happen so that good things can happen, or that we meet and know bad people to bring us to better good people... my answer... 100% YES! There are so many people and things in my life now that I wouldn't have if it weren't for someone else, and most often that someone else was not a great person in my life. I owe a lot to the people that have hurt me the most because so much has changed from them, and usually changed for the better. Now, don't get me wrong, I really don't want anymore bad people or things in my life, but when I remember the good things that have come from the bad it makes it a little easier to get over it.
"Today is a new day. Hiding from your history only shackles you to it. We can't undo a single thing we have ever done, but we can make decisions today that propel us to the life we want and towards the healing we need." --Steve Maraboli
