new room!

So I have decided to paint my room and possibly my furniture... I have had the same green room for 10 years! Time for a change! I want to do dark colors, but my room is pretty small and that would just make it look smaller... I am considering off white walls with one yellow wall and black furniture, but I also like the idea of a light plum or blue room... Anyway, while searching for ideas and inspiration I found these... I just wish I could do them all and could buy all new furniture.

So this one time Lyndsee, Cole, and I drove to Redlands for the weekend and we met a zebra in Scipio Utah... We were gone for a total of 59 hours and we were in the car for 18 of those hours.. It was such a fun trip and I can't wait to go back in 33 days! Yes, there is a countdown!

sometimes i just have to...

i am so grateful for whatever gift i was given that makes it possible for me to laugh and just about anything. i love laughing. it gets annoying for people, i'm sure, but i would much rather be laughing and smiling at the smallest nothings, than have no sense of humor.

that sense of humor is what determined who my best friends are today. we can sit and laugh at movies and each other for hours. we can literally sit and quote some of our favorite movies and have full blown conversations through it all.

i used to cry a lot, but i haven't been as teary eyed at every little thing anymore, which i am very grateful for. don't get me wrong, i love a good cry every now and then, but i much prefer the chance to laugh at something awkward, ridiculous, hilarious, scary, or sad, than cry. i was literally shaking because of a situation i was in the other day, but instead of breaking down i just started laughing histerically because it was so ironic and uncomfortable.

i am also so grateful for my friends that will laugh at these situations with me. instead of trying to console me or say the right things they make jokes and laugh at my "drama" with me. it makes everything so much easier. just laugh at rude people, awkward situations, bad jokes, scary moments, and fun times. i hope i don't ever take this laughing "problem" i have for granted because it is one of my most defining qualities.

I just saw the cutest little dad dancing to Pretty Girl Rock in the mall in front of his son, who was of course cracking up! It was cutest thing! This nerdy little dad dancing to Keri Hilson! Ha! I love seeing good parents like that in the world!

Okay! So finally it's summer and it's getting warm outside and of course I am stuck inside all day everyday working... It's actually a good thing! I am working at ShieldZone (ZAGG shield protectors for electronic devices!) again! It's pretty weird being back here. Anyway, between SZ and Frogurt I am working about 55 hours just this week. Yeah... three 12 hour days in a row! I literally have bags under my eyes... Because of course I'm not just gonna go home after working from 9-9! I'm gonna go party with my friends! Duh! Yeah I'm really draggin, but I cannot miss out on anything this summer! I am really happy that I have the two jobs because I need money!!! Hopefully I can actually enjoy some of summer though!

Speaking of summer... I AM GOING TO REDLANDS WITH LYNDSEE IN ONE WEEK!!!! Next Friday, we are driving down to her hometown for her friend Em's farewell! It's going to be one quick trip! Down Friday back Sunday, but I am SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! Her friend Cole is coming with us too, so it's going to be a blast! I am way excited to get away and actually be in CA, even if it is just for a couple days. Blink and JB the whole drive! CAN'T WAIT!!

yes, this has already been on my blog, not too long ago actually, but it's just so good i had to post it again. plus i've listened to it at least 9 times in the last hour... NBD!

music

has always been a big thing in my life. i'm not musically talented, actually i'm more challenged, but i love listening to music. it has saved my life many, many times.. especially in the last 3 years of my life. it has kept me up when i've been way too far down. listening to a life changing song is exactly that... life changing. life altering. mind blowing. makes my head spin. it makes me spin. i love it. there are some songs that i have gotten from shows like Grey's Anatomy and One Tree Hill that are amazing. those shows are so great and make my world so much easier just because of the incredible music thats on it...

the other thing that makes music in my life so amazing is listening to it with my friends. just driving and jamming out to whatever music fits our lives right at that moment. even if the lyrics are stupid and really have nothing to do with us. we can still relate somehow to the beat. this is so incredibly lame and cheesy, but it music connects people. young people like me. we need music. any kind of music. whatever music you like. i don't care if it's britney spears, the killers, miley cyrus, cyndi lauper, the avett brothers, joe purdy, snow patrol, we the kings, justin bieber, taylor swift, alabama, journey, michael jackson. or all of it. if it affects you. changes you. makes you who you are. then you know what i'm talking about. have you ever been asked "Would you rather be deaf or blind?" yeah, well i'd rather be neither, but if i had to choose, i would say blind. because i can't imagine not having music in my life. not listening to music would change my world for the worse. i am just grateful that there are people in the world that are musically talented because i don't know where i would be if it weren't for some of the songs and artists that have saved my life.
