i will never forget

Today was a day full of chills, tearing up, and remembering ten years ago. I was in 6th grade, 11 years old, and didn't know really what any of it meant or should feel like. Now that I am 21 I look back on that horrible day seeing pictures, videos, and memories reminding me of what terrible people and tragedy we have in this world... And then among it all I remember those men and women that did amazing things that day. The selfless, caring, heroic acts that all happened that day reminds me how grateful I am to be living in the United States. It's days like today when the country is so unified because we remember. Politics, media, economic struggles... None of it matters today because we remember. We will never forget the lives that were lost and the lives that were changed. I will never forget about the children who lost parents or the parents who lost children. I will never forget about the sacrifices that were made. I will never forget the sadness. Especially the sadness that lives on. The sadness and heart break I feel when I see pictures of that day and the memorials of today and more to come. I love my country. I love the unity we will always have on this day forever. Because we will never forget. I will never forget.
God Bless America
