young

I have been noticing lately that a lot of songs out there are about being young and having fun and just staying young as you age... a lot of the artists singing them are in their late 20s, early 30s and older... No one that is 21 years old is singing about staying young and to me it seems that everyone that is 21 is getting married, having kids, or at the very least, moving in with someone. All i have to say to that is... you're crazy. Now, don't get me wrong, I think that if you have found "the one" then that is fantastic for you and you should definitely not let them go, but I am also saying... WHAT'S THE RUSH?! I know life is short... and that is such a double edged sword of a statement/thought. Life is short so we should hurry up and find that one and be in love and have babies and accomplish everything we can... ORRR Life is short so we should just party and have fun and enjoy ourselves while we can and take advantage of life as it is... WHAT!!

Anyway... Lately I feel like all anyone cares about is who your dating and when you're getting married... Maybe that's cause I live in Utah... Maybe it's cause everyone else seems to have a boyfriend and seems to be getting married... I dunno, but my question is... If I can't be young, single, and do whatever I want when I'm 21, THEN WHEN CAN I?!

I am seriously enjoying being 21 and single... I never thought I would say that... And I am kind of being a hypocrite, because not too long ago I couldn't wait to be married and was planning on that happening right about, well, now... But perspectives have changed and I am thanking God for that everyday. I am having a hard enough time starting my senior year of COLLEGE single and living at home... I can't imagine having a husband and a house and so many more responsibilities that I could have...

I guess what I am saying is just...
do what makes you happy...
and let other people do the same! Whether that means being single, married, traveling, singing, dancing, partying, having babies, going to school, working, whatever.

3:42 am

As depressing as it is Summer 2011 is basically over. Even though I don't start school for another week its just over cause everyone else started today... But don't you worry I went out with a bang!! The last weekend of summer was awesome! I hung out with the one I spent the entire summer with, my bff, TMB the third! I went and celebrated Courtney May's 21st birthday with my friends and family and that was after I saw Sugarland in concert with my new bestie Chels, and her bestie JT! Awesome people! My brother, father, and crystal and her mom all saw Jenn Nettles and Christian rock USANA on Saturday with me!

On Sunday I got to watch True Blood with my second family the Burrows, went hot tubbing, and of course watched a movie with my best friend. Then we finished out one of the best summers of my the same way I started it... Listening to ADELE at 3:42 AM in Thomas's driveway!

I will forever miss Summer 2011 and all the good times! Bring it on Fall 2011!

We do...

dear old love

okay, so i am a little obsessed with finding new blogs and usually they are actually really old blogs and so i go back and back and back for months and read all the old posts :) and i am getting especially obsessed with tumblr.com... probably considered a swear word on this here blogger.com blog, but whatever can't i use both in peace? [go ahead at follow me at my tumblr blog] anyway i found this way awesome blog called Dear Old Love and it's basically where people send in little notes that they want to say, anonymously of course, to there past loves, crushes, heartbreaks, etc... it's pretty freaking awesome and i must admit i have sent in a couple of entries myself... just waiting for them to hit the blogosphere! :) anyway, take a gander here. some are funny, some are sad, and some are exactly what you want to say the one the got away.

concert going...

Big question...

Is it worth it to go to a concert alone?

There was a concert tonight at In The Venue- All Time Low and Mayday Parade, whom I love- and I really wanted to go, but the friends that actually wanted to go, couldn't, so I would have ended up going alone... Now, I was planning on going until my money situation became a little tighter than anyone would like, but how lame/pointless/boring would a concert be by yourself. I mean obviously there are hundreds of strangers there enjoying the music and the main reason that I think it wouldn't be too bad is because it's music... Plus, it's so freaking loud in there you can't talk to anyone anyway... But it is just so fun being with your friends and enjoying phenomenal music. So my question is this, next time should I just go to the concert, even if I have to go alone? I'd like to think I'm independent enough to handle it and have a good time, in fact I'm almost positive that I would have an awesome time, but would I be totally uncomfortable knowing that I am alone at a concert... ya know? ahh life as a 21 struggling with many different opinions, options, and problems is really gettin' to me lately...

life is art

here

Best night of work everr

I love Chelsea Sampson! I got to work with her last night and it was soooo freaking fun! We were both really tired and didn't want to be working so of.course that led to a lot of really great, really hilarious, and really embarrassing moments...

We both tripped, fell, and got hurt several times.
We both ran into the door... Then I hit a kid with the door.
We made a Justin Bieber collage.
We Facebook stalked people.
Chels went to sleep.
She also shared the spiciest orange chicken known to man with me.

All in all it was an awesome awesome day at frogurt! JUST PAPPININ'!

if it's the last you do...

go see this movie. It is my new favorite and it is amazing.
Make sure you take your tissues, pretty sure I cried for at least half of it!
Emma Stone is perfection.
Oh and I bought the book today so I could read it since I've only heard great things and if it is anything like the movie, I am sure I will love, love, love it!

Whitney!

I love Whitney Cummings! I am really, really excited for her new show coming up in the fall! I found this page also in September's edition of Glamour... She's freaking hilarious!

Whitney on...

Role-Play: "Guys always want to do role-play fantasies where they're authoritative and the girl is weak, like doctor/nurse or lawyer/secretary. You're just reminding me of all the jobs you don't have. How about instead of pretending to be a doctor, just go be a doctor!"

Turn-ons: "Women's magazines have these articles that are like, 'How to turn on your guy.' He's a guy. Take off a sock."

Fantasies: "I had a guy say to me once, 'I want you to strip for me." You want me to do the stripper fantasy? You want me to be emotionally unavailable and take your money? I've been doing that since we freaking met. All I need is body glitter and a crappy sun tattoo and I'm ready to rock this!"

Schoolgirl Outfits: "Guys always want women to be sexy schoolgirls. You want me to be a little girl? I already cry every day. You want me to be a schoolgirl? Pack me a lunch."

Sexy Costumes: "Guys want us to dress up in costumes now. Next time your man asks you to dress up in a costume, go into the bathroom. Tell him you're going to slip into something more comfortable... come out in a wedding dress. He'll love it!"

HAHAHAHAH! I love her! Plus, she's hot! Tell me you don't have a total gurl crush on her right now...!

Hey, It's OK...

...to crush on a prince just because he's a prince.

...to be the woman who chips her fresh manicure just gettting out of the parking lot. You're keeping the ladies in business!

...to believe all mirrors are "fat" mirrors.

... if the winged eyeliner on your left eye isn't quite as perfect as it is on your left eye.

...to wonder how it's even possible that a man's body can produce so many sounds from so many orifices.

...to count the tomato sauce on your pizza as a vegetable.

...to keep champagne in the fridge just in case you do something amazing.

It's official Glamour is my favorite magazine! And it may or may not be because of this page each month. I love the Hey, It's OK... Almost all of them fit me to a t! And they it certainly makes me feel better about each and every one! THANK YOU, GLAMOUR!

Olivia Munn

Dos and Don'ts

Don't put yourself in a box. I can be on the cover of Maxim, I can be smart, I can be funny, I can be successful, and I can be a good wife and friend - that is all possible. I want you to like me, but I don't care if you don't.

Do speak your mind. If you think something's funny, go with that. Most comedians pull jokes from a place of honesty.

Do ignore the haters. You're going to have some backlash whenever you break the mold, so ignore it and do your own thing.

Don't believe that women aren't funny.

Do refuse to settle. Guys can say, "I want to put my career first." But if a woman says it, it's like she isn't maternal. I love my career right now, and I won't be with anybody until they make my life as satisfying and as happy as my work makes me.

Don't lie about your age. I think women should start to embrace their age. What's the alternative to getting older? You die. I can't change the day I was born. But I can take care of my skin, my body, my mind, and try to live my life and be happy.

Minus the fact that we completely missed the band perry.. this was one of the better nights of my life. Nothing better than friends, family, and country music!
